Monday, May 11

Select Board Meeting

This week’s Select Board agenda includes approval of minutes and a water and sewer warrant, a hearing related to Wild Oats Cooperative’s change of officers/directors, consideration of a seasonal liquor license for Sweet Hospitality Group/Williams Theater Group, and a “Sister City Concept” item with Joe Johnson.

The board is also expected to hear the Town Manager’s report and take public comment. Public comment speakers will be asked to provide their name and town of residence. Street addresses are not required.

Tuesday, May 12

Williamstown’s Annual Town Election is Tuesday, May 12. On the ballot this year: seats on the Select Board, Milne Public Library Board of Trustees, Housing Authority, and Planning Board.

The Select Board has three seats up this year: two three-year terms and one seat filling the remaining year of an unexpired term. As of a March 11, 2026, iBerkshires report, Stephanie Boyd and Shana Dixon had taken out papers for the two three-year seats, while Nate Budington had taken out papers for the one-year seat.

For the Milne Public Library Board of Trustees, there are two open three-year seats. According to the same report, Michael Sussman had returned papers for one of those seats, and Martin Mitsoff had also taken out papers.

Other offices on the ballot include one five-year seat on the Housing Authority and one five-year seat on the Planning Board. As of the March 11 report, no contested races had yet taken shape, and no one had pulled papers for the open Housing Authority seat.

Looking Ahead

Annual Town Meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 19, from 7–9:30 p.m. at Williamstown Elementary School Gymnasium, 115 Church Street, Williamstown.
